Immediate  opportunities include joining a PADC committee:

Equity Committee 

•Responsibility to support equity, diversity, inclusion, and related priorities. They will play important roles in helping the PADC develop and reach their equity goals; in bringing equity concerns to the attention of leadership; and in creating positive working environments. The equity committee will help to ensure fair and inclusive opportunities for individuals within the PADC and the doula profession. 

•Skillset: Lived Experience, Leadership, Organization, Communication, Collaboration, Project Management, Microsoft Office Experience. 

• Anticipated Time Commitment: Up to 5 hours per week 

Education Committee 

•Responsibility to ensure that the educational needs of Pennsylvania Doulas are addressed so that they may move forward in impacting the maternal health space. They will assess classes and workshops and determine the eligibility of content as it pertains to continuing education units. This committee will work collaboratively with both the PADC and PA Cert Board. 

•Skillset: Leadership, Organization, Communication, Collaboration, Project Management, Research, Microsoft Office Experience,  

•Anticipated Time Commitment: Up to 5 hours per week 

Outreach Committee 

•Responsibility to help the PADC organization recruit and retain members by offering advice and resources. The membership committee will keep records of existing members, engage new members, and manage associated projects. 

•Skillset: Leadership, Organization, Communication, Collaboration, Project Management, Microsoft Office Experience. 

•Anticipated Time Commitment: Up to 5 hours per week

Advocacy Committee 

•Responsibility to set the vision for and manage the overall marketing strategy of the PADC and ensure that the organization's total marketing program is in concert with the strategic direction and needs of the PADC. The committee will develop marketing campaigns and strategies, promote events, create advertising and posts on social media platforms, website, and associated media. 

•Skillset: Marketing/Communications/Graphic Design Background, Leadership, Organization, Communication, Collaboration, Project Management, Working Knowledge of Canva, Microsoft Office, and Social Media Platforms (IG, FB, LinkedIn) 

•Anticipated Time Commitment: Up to 5 hours per week 

Geographical Expansion Committee (County Representative) 

•Responsibility to identify and mentor workforce champions, partners, and doulas throughout their designated county. County Representatives work with workforce champions, partners, and doulas to actively advance the doulas careers and PADC organizational participation.  

•Skillset: Leadership, Organization, Communication, Collaboration, Project Management, Microsoft Office Experience 

•Anticipated Time Commitment: Up to 10 hours per week
